Riverfront Development Corporation Announces Return of Summer Concert Series to Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park
June 1, 2022, Wilmington, DE- Continuing the popular summer tradition, the Riverfront Development Corporation (RDC) is thrilled to announce the return of their Riverfront Summer Concert Series for 2022. The concerts, which have been a long-standing tradition on the Riverfront, will take place Thursday evenings in July and August beginning July 7th.
Each Thursday from 7:00-8:30 p.m. the RDC will host a free show featuring a different genre from a popular local artist. The weekly concerts will once again take place in Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, as the venue provides ample space for crowds. Additionally, the RDC is happy to announce the return of the monthly lunchtime concert performance at their Hare Pavilion located on the Riverwalk. Each month in June-August, the pavilion will host a performance from 12:15-1:15 p.m. for guests on the Riverwalk.
“We are excited to bring back our incredibly popular Summer Concert Series to Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park for a 24th year” proclaimed RDC Executive Director Megan McGlinchey. “And after a successful first year in 2021, the Lunchtime Summer Concert Series will return to Hare Pavilion. We hope that residents, office workers and visitors alike will visit the Riverfront to enjoy incredible music this summer and while they are here, take advantage of the diverse restaurant options we have to offer.”
The RDC has partnered for the Riverfront Summer Concert Series with Christiana Care, DART, Ubon Thai Kitchen, Sabion Sound, and the City of Wilmington. The full concert line-up can be found listed below.
