June 2, 2023, Wilmington, DE– Continuing the popular summer tradition, the Riverfront Development Corporation (RDC) is thrilled to announce the return of their Riverfront Summer Concert Series and Lunchtime Entertainment Series for 2023. The evening concerts, which have been a long-standing tradition on the Riverfront, will take place Thursday evenings in July and August beginning July 6th from 7:30-8:30 p.m. The free weekly concerts will once again take place in Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, featuring a different genre from a popular local artist each week.
Additionally, the RDC is happy to announce the return of the weekly Lunchtime Entertainment Series performances at Hare Pavilion, located on the Riverwalk. Every Wednesday in June through August, the pavilion will host a performance from 12:15-1:15 pm.
“We are excited to bring back our incredibly popular Summer Concert Series to Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park for a 25th year and expand the successful Lunchtime Summer Concert Series at Hare Pavilion from monthly to weekly” stated RDC Executive Director Megan McGlinchey. “We hope to see residents, office workers and visitors at the Riverfront enjoying a variety of incredible music this summer and while they are here, take advantage of the diverse dining and attraction options we have to offer.”

The 2023 Wilmington Riverfront Summer Concert Series
The sounds of live music and family entertainment will return to the Riverfront this summer as the 2023 Wilmington Riverfront Summer Concert series begins on July 6, 2023, and runs through August 31, 2023. This free concert series is held on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. This year’s concerts will be held on the tranquil grounds of Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park overlooking the Christina River. This year’s concert series will run for 9 weeks. Concert-goers will be treated to the sounds of jazz, folk, country, funk, rhythm & blues, swing, gospel, hip-hop. All of this great entertainment while enjoying the unique scenery of beautiful Riverfront Wilmington.

The 2023 Riverfront Wilmington Lunchtime Event Series
The sounds of live music will return to the Riverfront this summer the sounds of live music and lunchtime entertainment will take place along the Christina River. The Riverfront Wilmington Entertainment Series are free events that will take place this year every Wednesday per month June-August from 12:15pm -1:15pm located at Hare Overlook Pavilion. Visiting guest will be treated to the entertainment of jazz, rock, country, blues, & folk while enjoying the unique scenery of Christina River.
